This was the most memorable hotel experience of our life. When I arrived at the hotel there was a short line up at the reception and one of the staff offered me a glass of prosecco while I waited. It was such a lovely touch and I really enjoyed the short wait. The check-in reception clerk was extremely kind and helpful and charming and we got into a conversation about the history of the hotel. When he gave me the key he asked if I needed help with my bag. I said no but then he said that there were a few steps up to the room - so I said - "OK, in that case thank you I would like help." He said, "It is the Royal Suite" on the second floor to your left as you get off the elevator, I will meet you there. I thought I had misheard him or that there was some other meaning to the words "Royal Suite" besides, well, "Royal Suite." Luckily, he was right behind me to help me find the correct door. When I opened it I was astounded. "Royal Suite" meant "Royal Suite" I said, "OH my goodness, this is stupendously beautiful! How did this happen??" He said that the hotel had been absolutely and completely fully booked that night and that he had been able to give me an upgrade to this suite. Everything about it was luxurious beyond anything I have ever experienced before. The ceilings stretched up practically to the sky, the bedroom was elegant in the extreme, the living and dining room were simply palatial. The St. Pancras is now my absolute favourite hotel in London. Every aspect of the ground floor common areas - the entry way and the bar and dining areas - also dazzle. Being connected to the station is also a tremendous bonus and convenience when heading to the Eurostar. The staircases and landings and walls and windows on the second floor were also gorgeous and gave such a sophisticated and lovely atmosphere to the whole hotel. We will remember our stay there forever. We will return again and again.

Everything the hotel is some big and impressive, absolutely stunning inside and out. Staff are so welcoming and polite cant do enough for you. Our room in Barlow house although modern in contract to the building was very large, comfortable and spotless clean. It was my special birthday and the hotel gave us a glass of bubbly on arrival and sent a cake and bubbly to our room. This is the best hotel in the UK I have ever stayed in. Special thank you to Yana on reception she was so lovely when we checked in and every time we saw her after she asked how we enjoy the shows we had booked and were we enjoying the hotel, we thanked her for the cake and bubbly. There was a private event on which we were told about before our arrival, so some places were blocked off but this was not a inconvenience at all.

The greeting at reception was great and the lady that handled our check in very professional and helpful. It was my wife's 60th birthday and when we got to our room there was a wonderful cake on a marble slab with Happy birthday along with a bottle of sparkling wine in ice. Very nice touch. The room was excellent, outstanding finishes, comfortable bed and it was great to be able to stay in this great building. Breakfast was one of the best selections I have had and I tried new dishes which were excellent, again with very attentative staff. Thank you for making this a wonderful stay for us.

When I first arrived I was early and my room wasn't ready. The girl who worked at the front desk, YANA, made my waiting very comfortable. She made sure I had a nice spot to wait in the lobby, since I had just traveled over 10 hours to get there. She was a great source of help throughout my stay. She helped me call an Uber, she always greeted me and had a nice smile and kind word for me. I liked the fact that there was food and drink available in the lobby area.

The main hotel building is wonderful, at all times of the day we were greeted politely by the staff wherever we were in the building. however the room did not meet my expectations. It was just another hotel room. Paint peeling in the bathroom, light inside wardrobe flickering did not boost my confidence about the electrical system.
